Round 00 · origin

The spark

The first grid established the translucent, blobby, centrifugal language. The broad full-orb sheet immediately exposed the density problem.

Opening question

What is the smallest useful visual premise?

The successful seed was not a finished system. It was a material and motion direction: loose watercolor bodies circulating around an implied center.

The companion sprite sheet filled too much of the orb at once. Stacking that much material could never preserve the reference’s absences, so the miss became the first constraint for the next round.

First generated watercolor orb concept grid
Success · the blobby centrifugal language that started the direction.
Early broad watercolor orb sprite sheet
Retained miss · too much material is visible at once for staggered layering.

Decision

Keep the language; remove the mass

Round 01 keeps the palette and feathered watercolor body, but breaks the orb into twelve sparse color events with intentional empty states.
